The deadliest and most ruthless military leader Krypton would ever have, General Dru-Zod is among the last of his kind. He and Jor-El, the father of Superman as well as his greatest friend, discovered the issue that would ultimately result in the destruction of Krypton. They disagreed violently on how to react to the problem, Zod decided on a militaristic and fierce approach to it. He and his soldiers stormed the capital, attempting to overthrow the Council and take control of the planet for themselves. They failed.Exiled to the Phantom Zone for treason shortly before the world's demise alongside his wife Commander Ursa, friend Non and his followers, he was spared from the planet's fate. On the day he was sent into the dimension, he swore revenge against the entire House of El for Jor-El's indignity to him - pledging to find his son Kal-El.Terrorizing the members of Earth's Kryptonian population for many years, Dru-Zod eventually found a form of peace and an unofficial call for disarmament between the Houses of El and Zod. He alongside Ursa and their son Lor took to the stars, finding a very primitive world within Sector 2811 known as Jekuul. The binary yellow suns of the world enhancing their latent abilities to levels previously unseen, the trio quickly dominated the native peoples and enslaved them, forcing them to worship the House of Zod as gods.Today, Jekuul is renamed to New Krypton. The House of Zod continues to rule over the weak natives with iron fists and merciless tyranny, catching the eye of the Green Lantern Corps on occasion, though their magnificent Kryptonian might is enough to push away the entire corps if necessary. There is an agreement between Kal and Dru of agreeing to go their separate ways for Krypton's sake. In the modern era, Zod is much more focused on protecting what remains of his people rather than conquering Earth or killing the one they call Superman.

STORYLINES AND LONG THREADS.

#WAROFLIGHT : Floating high above Earth's atmosphere, a Yellow Lantern Ring of Fear approaches him and finds itself upon his finger. His dictatorship over the native Jekuul people had granted him the ability to wield a weapon of fear itself.
Zod later lifts a Red Ring and it attaches itself to him. His rage toward the Green Lantern Corps, his own people and to Jor-El had allowed him to wield rage with fear.
After all of this, he finds himself on the sentient planet Mogo, meeting with his fellow Red Corpsmen in a widescale onslaught against the Green Lanterns.#BLACKESTNIGHT : Zod takes over the Sinestro Corps during Sinestro's ( @ColorOfFear ) absence, ruling over them with new Kryptonian strength and combat genius. He relocates the homeworld of the corps to New Krypton temporarily, assembling the new ringbearers together. They divide into two teams, one led by him and the other led by Shao Kahn ( @ForOutworld ). Zod personally takes his team to the current location of Parallax the entity of Fear, allowing it to enter his body.

SINESTRO :
1. The true leader of fear Sinestro ( @ColorOfFear ) finds Zod on New Krypton after the events of #WAROFLIGHT after sensing the corruptive Fear energy within the fake Ring. The general happily hands over the fake while Sinestro gives him a true Yellow Ring, officially allowing him to enter the Sinestro Corps as a zealot of fear.
Link to thread.2. Sinestro returns after the #BLACKESTNIGHT conclusion, formally taking the Sinestro Corps back and relocating the capital back to Qward where it belongs. He returned with the Ultraviolet Light within his body, implementing a new idea into the corps.
Link to thread.RAO'S MODERN TESTAMENT - SOLO : The Kryptonian God of Gods Rao survived Krypton's explosion, barely holding onto life due to the worship of the House of Zod, as well as Kal and Kara. He reaches into Zod's sleeping mind, hijacking the dream and discussing what happened with him. By the end, they come to an arrangement; Zod becomes Rao's last devoted priest, and the deity grants him enhancements and protection against mystical forces.
Link to solo.NEW KRYPTON: THE GOLDEN AGE - SOLO: Long ago, the vicious Kryptonian Empire lay waste to Planet Rinoti for rebellious acts. One member of the Rinotians remained - Amalak. Years later he sends an army to New Krypton to catch the attention of the Kryptonian House that killed his people. He does that well, Zod himself taking to the stars to his new homeworld and tearing his temple apart. Zod's taken down by red starlight blasts, easily defeated by the more powerful Amalak. However the blue star of the system soon shines on him and instantly skyrockets his abilities past even a yellow star. Amalak's entire body is torn apart in seconds as he's forced through multiple buildings at the speed of light, and his planet is torn apart by Zod at equal speed.
Link to solo.VERSUS THE ERADICATOR: An alternate version of Lois Lane ( @WIDOWEDANGEL ), the woman whom he knows as Kal-El's human wife, arrives and wishes to face him in combat. She is a tough adversary, already knowledgeable of her abilities enough to wipe her own Earth of its criminal side. She was doomed to lose however, as she was nowhere near ready for Zod. The general ends their fight by beating her relentlessly at the speed of light and throwing her through two cities.
Link to interaction.VERSUS ATROCITUS : The leader of the Red Lantern Corps, Atrocitus, ( @CrimsonsRage ) confronts Zod. Though the mission of the Red Corps is to punish the wicked, the Ryutian has come for a different reason: to test Zod's Rage. After an encounter that threatens the entire planet they fight on, Atrocitus is knocked out by an abundance of angry blows to the head. A Red Ring arrives from the sky all of a sudden, and thus officially welcomes him to the Red Lantern Corps, presumably overlooking his past and present tyrannical ways for the sake of recruiting another warrior of vengeance.

SUPERPOWERS.

SOLAR ENERGY ABSORPTION: All Kryptonians function similar to batteries when it comes to the absorption of solar radiation that comes from stars. Different wavelengths of radiation have many different effects on them, such as red completely nullifying their super abilities and yellow granting them. Blue and white sunlight are known to amplify a Kryptonian's powers beyond that of a yellow star, and even grant them more unique abilities.SUPER STRENGTH: Zod's strength is far beyond a human being's while he's exposed to yellow sunlight. He can change how much he wants to use at any given time, able to easily toss a vehicle all the way to shattering entire planets in half with a single blow. Even under red sunlight he's still much more powerful than an average human due to his prior life on Krypton, where the gravity was much stronger and thusly forcing his body to be more durable.ENHANCED DURABILITY: His skin and bones are extremely dense due to the solar energy in his body. This makes him resistant or even completely invulnerable to extreme forms of damage such as lacerations, blunt force trauma, energy attacks, explosions, falls from great heights, the heat of a volcano, the freezing vacuum of space and more.SUPER SPEED: He has the ability to both move and fly at speeds far exceeding the speed of light if he so wishes. This also includes heightened agility and reflexes, greater than even that of Superman due to years of personal combat training. He can move so fast that he can process things moving at hyperspeed.HEAT VISION: He has the ability to fire two beams of intense heat from both of his eyes. The temperatures can rival the surface of the sun if he so wishes. If combined with his super vision, he can adjust it to work on a microscopic level.FLIGHT: He can manipulate gravitons to defy gravity, ranging from simply hovering above the ground to flying through space. He can also use his super speed to make himself fly at light speed with minimal effort.SUPER VISION: His vision can pick up on the entire electromagnetic spectrum, including sections that are normally invisible to humans. He can see radio waves in the air and the aura off of people if he focuses his eyesight. He can also "zoom in" and focus on things in the great distance without breaking the laws of physics. He can see things at the atomic level and with better acuity in darkness.SUPER BREATH: He can intake a great amount of air and expel it from his mouth with great force, creating hurricane winds. He can also pressurize his lungs in order to expel a beam of ice from his mouth - frost breath - that can reach subzero temperatures much like how his heat vision can rival the sun's surface. He can also hold his breath completely indefinitely if not interrupted, making him able to survive deep space or underwater.SUPER HEARING: His ears can pick up on sounds even at the most extreme ends of the frequency, across even galaxies if he focuses. He can detect and hone in on certain sources or levels.ACCELERATED HEALING: Under yellow sunlight, he has a very powerful healing factor that grows stronger with his proximity and thus exposure to the solar radiation. Cuts, bruises and some minor damages can heal within minutes, potentially even seconds depending on how intense they are. He cannot regrow any lost body parts such as an arm or organ.LONGEVITY: Under yellow sunlight he can remain in his physical prime for a much longer period of time, making him next to immortal in terms of aging. His aging is presumably absolutely halted beneath blue or white starlight.

ABILITIES.

HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT: A battle veteran back on Krypton and to this day, Zod has lived an entire life of warfare and combat. He was the greatest combatant the Kryptonians ever produced. His superior powers under yellow sunlight and general lack of morality or care for non-Kryptonian entities make him one of the most dangerous criminals in the entire universe.WEAPONRY: He used bows and arrows as a child in the forest, and smaller held weapons as an adult in the Kryptonian military. In the modern day, he's made use of White, Yellow and Red Lantern Rings.LEADERSHIP: He lead Krypton's entire army as their general, and all of his soldiers were willingly loyal to him. His army is currently trapped in the Phantom Zone, and may still follow him if freed.SURVIVAL: He was once lost in the harsh wilderness for an entire year as a child on Krypton. He even sacrificed his own father so he could escape a pack of wild animals.

EQUIPMENT.

BATTLE ARMOR: Made out of Kryptonian metal, Zod wears a highly durable suit of armor. The limits of Kryptonian metal are completely unknown, as even he often breaks and bleeds before even a dent or scratch appears in it.NEW KRYPTON: He and the House of Zod own the entire planet of Jekuul and are currently in the process of conquering the entire Space Sector of 2811. On New Krypton, they force slave labor to build cities in the style of Krypton and reign over the natives as gods.YELLOW LANTERN RING: Inducted to the Sinestro Corps ( #WAROFLIGHT ), Zod is now in possession of a Ring of Fear. He's used this to protect himself from his weaknesses and to have absolute authority over some planets.RED LANTERN RING: Inducted to the Red Lantern Corps, Zod is now in possession of a Ring of Rage. His blood pumps with an unending thirst for vengeance and bloodshed more than ever, and the universe will know his rage.

WEAKNESSES.

KRYPTONITE: Like all Kryptonians, Zod is vulnerable to the radioactive effects of Kryptonite. The mineral will slowly destroy his body's cells in prolonged exposure and give him flu-like symptoms, potentially death if left with it long enough. However Kryptonite is not as strong as Kryptonian metal nor are its effects immediate, making harming him with it quite difficult.MAGIC: Not technically a weakness as much as a cautionary tale, Kryptonian invulnerability fails against mystical and divine forces, and Zod is no exception. Magic spells and blasts will hurt him like it would any general human being. Though, this has been slightly amended due to blessings from the Kryptonian deity Rao with its limits unknown.RED SUNLIGHT: Also not technically a weakness as much as a response to the radiation, red sunlight will work to drain yellow or blue sunlight radiation from Zod's cells. With a body full of the red radiation, he will have no special abilities such as flight or super strength, and will be essentially the same as a human being, although with greater physical abilities still due to his time in Krypton's strong gravity.SOLAR ENERGY DEPENDENCY: While very uncommon, Kryptonians can drain the solar energy from their cells by extended use of their heightened abilities. His heat vision, super strength, flight and frost breath will work to drain the solar energy from him. This will hardly ever occur if he's exposed to sunlight, which will obviously replenish him.
